Warehouse Operations
Located on a 4 hectare integrated rail / road site, our rail freight terminal operations provide over 100,000 sq.ft. of covered warehouse space, incorporating both pallet rack and floor storage.
Handling facilities include 25- and 20-tonne gantry cranes and a range of fork lift trucks of up to 5 tonnes with the capability for handling a wide range of goods. The ancillary equipment includes extended forks, squeeze clamps and rotating paper reel clamps.
Containers can be unloaded and the products stored until required for distribution either in full loads or small consignments, using our extensive transport fleet and operating systems.
Our extensive yard allows us to offer external storage for material which is not subject to weather damage.
Stock management is computer controlled and tailored to individual customer management requirements.
Being able to offer facilities for receipt and despatch by rail or road, curtainsider and container, and storage in either dedicated space or by pallet or weight, we feel we can offer a service unique in Lancashire, and very rare throughout the country.
